Job Description

Reporting directly to the CEO and Founder of the firm, this role sits on the extended leadership team and will be earmarked as future Chief Operating Officer potential. The role will continue to build company infrastructure and enable end-to-end consulting service delivery, from scoping and sell in through project execution and close-out. The firm is currently +/- 20 strong and their firm intention is to continue to grow successfully over the longer term, without compromising on quality. In line with this strategic vision, they are in search of their next Director of Consulting Services to spearhead their consulting team's operations. Main duties and responsibilities include the following:

  • CEO support on strategic and operational initiatives
  • Project and Resource Management/Oversight and developing recommendations around resource management and planning
  • Oversee and drive end of project debriefs, capturing key learnings
  • Provide support, and help to plan and oversee quarterly business meetings
  • Develop and present content and reports/update company dashboard
  • Serve as liaison to extended team of expert consultants and research contractors to align them with company priorities, client opportunities and internal initiatives as appropriate
  • Review and manage execution of client and third-party contracts and agreements
  • Support and enable Europe and Asia business, and any new additional VP level hires with clients that join the platform
  • Lead recruiting, onboarding and integration for new consulting team hires
  • Drive company learning and development agenda
  • Support in reviewing inbound new business development opportunities, and coordinate internal resources to respond including SOW development and pricing
  • Update, deploy, and track billable hour targets by level
  • Ensure dynamic and turnkey/real time reporting
  • Project Scoping and Pricing, and developing ongoing processes to track and improve project economics on fixed fee projects
  • Own and manage marketing, website, social media, and CRM

The Successful Applicant

  • Bachelor's degree; MBA or equivalent strongly preferred
  • Relevant experience in client-facing management consulting, with a preference for a strategy consulting background
  • Strong experience of managing the operations in a fast-moving professional services business.
  • Ability to work on a hybrid work schedule, with Boston, MA as your primary location.
