Job Description

  • Lead and manage distributed teams of 40+ engineers in mobile and web development.
  • Establish and enforce engineering best practices, coding standards, and development processes.
  • Make key decisions on architecture and implementation of scalable, high-quality engineering solutions.
  • Implement processes to track key metrics, ensure quality and reliability, and provide regular updates to stakeholders.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, ensure timely project delivery, and collaborate with HR and the CTO on hiring and talent acquisition.

The Successful Applicant

  • Exceptional communication skills with experience working with diverse, international teams.
  • Significant experience in late-stage start ups, managing budgets, and achieving aggressive revenue targets.
  • Background in B2C organizations, focusing on scalable product development for consumers.
  • Over 5 years of experience leading distributed engineering teams of 40+ engineers across multiple geographies.
  • Expertise with Java, React, Kubernetes, and AWS, and extensive experience with agile methodologies such as Kanban or Scrum; a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field is required.
  • Proficiency in Russian is a plus.
