The Director of HR will be a part of the executive leadership team and report to the North American Vice President General Manager (President). The Director of HR will be a hands on business partner to the executive team and help drive the company's growth. The Director of HR will be in charge of developing and executing an HR strategy that encompasses all things HR, but a strong focus on succession planning, talent management, talent development, training and development, compensation and benefits, performance management, and company culture and values, as well as a strong focus on employee relations.

Job Description

  • Create and execute the overall HR strategy and plan that meets and aligns with the company's overall goals
  • Be a creative, hands on, visionary outside the box thinker
  • Drive change process by working with executive management team creating a positive mentality and can-do attitude
  • Work with the executive leadership team on goals and strategy and executive regarding talent management, development, training and succession planning
  • Establish and drive a culture based on success in line with the company's corporate values
  • Identifies key performance indicators for the organization's human resource and talent management functions, and assessing success and market competitiveness against KPIs
  • Researches, develops, and implements competitive compensation, benefits, performance appraisal, and employee incentive programs. administers and oversees the administration of human resource programs including, but not limited to, compensation, benefits, and leave; disciplinary matters; disputes and investigations; performance and talent management; productivity, recognition, and morale; occupational health and safety; and training and development.
  • Build, train, and develop HR team and staff
  • Drive Talent Acquisition program and strategies, and be a part of the hiring and interviewing process for applicable levels
  • Build effective relationships to support all employee relations issues
  • Develop HR policies and programs for organizational development, planning & training
  • Work on education and development programs to ensure that we attract, grow and retain talent at all levels within our organization.
  • Work with hiring and executive team on best practices for hiring and retention of staff, as well as driving proactive succession planning strategies
  • Use data and information from HRIS and internal systems to drive reports and decision making
  • Oversee HSE - Health, Safety, and Environmental programs and initiatives and training

The Successful Applicant

  • Bachelor's Degree required in Human Resources, Business or related, MBA and/or Masters in HR highly preferred
  • 5 years of HR leadership experience in Sr. leadership roles within a manufacturing company and environment
  • Strong understand and knowledge of HR policies and procedures
  • Ability to deliver results in a fast-paced environment with competing and changing priorities
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong background in employee relations and legal compliance, recruitment and selections, performance management, compensation and change management.
  • Strong communication skills verbal and written with open and direct communication style
  • Ability to influence and coach management and leadership team
  • Ability to use good judgment and discretion with highly confidential business and employee information.
  • Strong understanding and experience with HSE - Health, Safety and Environmental
