Our client is a world leader in the development and manufacturing of marine electronics. They are a division of a world leading thermal imaging company. Their award-winning products are available globally and include product lines of radar, GPS, fishfinders, autopilots, etc. With just over 400 employees, our client is looking for a newly created Director of Marketing role to spearhead marketing initiatives in the Americas.

Description

The Director of Marketing will work cross functionally within the business to increase brand and demand generation in the Americas through the following initiatives:

  • Lead go-to-market planning to establish brand building strategies across all channels
  • Collaborate with the product marketing team to market existing and new product lines
  • Lead the U.S. brand and demand gen planning process
  • Develop customer loyalty through strategic targeting of consumers and consumer brand-interaction
  • Lead consumer facing brand communication and serve as the primary point of contact for business partners
  • Monitor performance of weekly/monthly/annual brand marketing strategies
  • Oversee the development and execution of trade shows, field events, partner marketing, and product launching
  • Manage forecast and revenue delivery for business's product reporting directly to the VP of Marketing and relevant stakeholders on the performance of initiatives

The Director of Marketing will be a seasoned marketing professional who can lead several competing projects and initiatives. This cross-functional leader will also be involved in marketing communications, go-to-market strategies, and product launch campaigns. In order to be most successful, the ideal Director of Marketing candidates should match most of the following criteria:

  • 10 years of working experience developing creative and innovative B2C marketing strategies through both online and offline channels to facilitate effective brand marketing programs
  • Experience in demand gen and digital marketing including display advertising, SEM/SEO, social media, email, etc.
  • Experience managing a marketing team
  • Comfort working with ROI and metric-driven models
  • Proficiency in CRM systems, databases, and marketing automation
  • Excellent communication skills and comfort with interacting with senior executives and external partners
