The Director of Operational Excellence / Advanced Manufacturing Engineering will be instrumental in leading the seamless integration of newly acquired companies, implementing standardized AME processes across manufacturing sites. This role supports the Company's growth by delivering sustainable, scalable improvements in critical operational areas, including M&A integration, manufacturing automation, capital projects, and major program execution.

Job Description

In this role you will reprt directly into the North American President and be responsible for:

  • Leading operational integration efforts following mergers or acquisitions, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives
  • Developing and executing integration roadmaps focused on process alignment, system integration, deliverables, and resource planning
  • Identifying and mitigating operational risks during the integration phase
  • Resolving challenges proactively throughout M&A and operational excellence initiatives
  • Building and implementing a global roadmap for manufacturing process improvement
  • Managing global capital expenditures up to $20M
  • Developing an equipment replacement plan to standardize assets and improve efficiency
  • Partnering with leadership teams to ensure integration success and cross-functional alignment
  • Facilitating collaboration and communication between internal teams and external partners during M&A activities
  • Creating standard work practices and supporting plant leaders in implementation and continuous improvement
  • Collaborating with supply chain and sourcing to enhance resourcing capabilities
  • Designing and implementing global insourcing strategies for manufacturing and engineering
  • Optimizing delivery and cost through a core manufacturing strategy
  • Defining and executing a roadmap to enhance service and cost by determining what and where to manufacture
  • Leading manufacturing projects with multi-site impact
  • Launching new product lines, consolidating production facilities, and supporting global product introductions

The Successful Applicant

A successful candidate will have:

  • Bachelor's degree required with 12+ years in industrial manufacturing.
  • Proven experience leading M&A operational integrations for small to mid-size companies.
  • Strong project management and cross-functional leadership skills for complex, time-sensitive initiatives.
  • Excellent communication and influence across all organizational levels.
  • Experience developing and executing global automation roadmaps.
  • Background in manufacturing facility, engineering, or sourcing leadership is a plus.
  • Skilled in Lean, Six Sigma, or similar process improvement methodologies.
