Job Description

As the Director of Operational Excellence and Advanced Manufacturing, you will be responsible for the following:

  • Spearhead the operational onboarding of acquired entities, ensuring seamless alignment with overarching business objectives.
  • Design and execute integration frameworks focused on unifying processes, systems, and deliverables while aligning teams and resources.
  • Proactively assess and mitigate integration-related risks to maintain business continuity.
  • Address and resolve operational complexities arising during integration and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Define and implement a global process optimization roadmap to drive efficiency across production sites.
  • Administer a capital investment portfolio prioritizing initiatives that deliver measurable ROI.
  • Standardize equipment strategy to streamline operations and improve asset utilization.
  • Partner with executive and plant-level leaders to ensure execution of integration and operational initiatives across departments.
  • Serve as a key liaison between internal and external stakeholders to drive alignment during change initiatives.
  • Establish and deploy standard operating procedures while supporting implementation at the plant level.
  • Collaborate closely with supply chain and sourcing teams to optimize internal capabilities and supplier alignment.
  • Lead the creation and execution of manufacturing and engineering strategies focused on insourcing and global operational alignment.
  • Enhance service delivery and cost structure through a data-driven approach to production location and capability planning.
  • Build long-term roadmaps that align production decisions with service, cost, and capacity objectives.
  • Direct large-scale manufacturing initiatives, including facility consolidations and global product line launches.
  • Manage cross-site implementation of new processes, ensuring timely execution and alignment with operational goals.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Director of Operational Excellence and Advanced Manufacturing should have:

  • Bachelor's degree required, preferably in engineering, operations, or a related field.
  • Over 12 years of experience in industrial manufacturing, with a strong operational background.
  • Preferred experience in a foundry environment.
  • Proven track record of leading operational integrations for small to mid-sized acquisitions.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage large-scale, cross-functional projects under tight deadlines with strong organizational and executional skills.
  • Skilled communicator and influential leader, capable of driving alignment across all organizational levels.
  • Experienced in designing and deploying global automation strategies to enhance manufacturing efficiency.
  • Background in leading manufacturing sites, engineering organizations, or procurement teams is advantageous.
  • Well-versed in Lean, Six Sigma, or other structured continuous improvement methodologies.
