Job Description

The main responsibilities are:

  • Positioning the function effectively by developing a thorough understanding of our procurement process, its value contribution, best practices as well as related improvement areas by annual execution of the procurement assessment, and partner with the company's procurement team
  • Develop and maintain the procurement strategy and execute a plan based on present and future needs and expectations
  • Assure roadmaps and annual procurement plans for the company are in place
  • Actively look for ways in which to ensure continuous improvements in the results for your area

The Successful Applicant

The main qualifications are:

  • Understanding of procurement and procurement transformation programs
  • Strong commercial knowledge and knowledge of related processes, tools, competences
  • Program and project management knowledge
  • Consultancy skills and understanding of change programs
  • Significant experience of managing Direct and Indirect spend categories
  • Experienced in driving significant change through strategic sourcing with tangible and demonstrable successes.
  • Ability to work with and in different cultures
  • Working experience in organizations at different levels of maturity, from start-up, structuring to mature, rationalizing
  • Good knowledge and experience of implementing best practice procurement and supplier management approaches
  • Demonstrates superior interpersonal, coaching, and communication skills to multiple levels of the organization
  • 5+ years of team management experience including specific examples of key successes in development of team members
