Job Description

Director of Quality Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the quality standards and regulations in the aerospace industry (ISO 9001 & AS9100)
  • Ensure audits to assess adherence to quality management systems (QMS) and identify areas for improvement.
  • Monitor effective quality control processes and procedures.
  • Identify the Key Performance Indicators within Quality as well as manage to check performance and create any plan of corrective action
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to establish quality metrics and monitor performances.
  • Ensuring that the employees are trained correctly in all aspects of Quality and QMS
  • Lead and support corrective and preventive actions to resolve quality-related concerns.
  • Drive supplier quality management activities, ensuring adherence to quality standards and facilitating supplier performance improvement.
  • Lead any process improvement activities as well as work collaboratively with other disciplines within the company

The Successful Applicant

Successful Director of Quality:

  • 5+ years of experience in a Quality leadership role
  • In-depth knowledge and experience in implementing and maintaining AS9100, the quality management standard specific to the aerospace industry.
  • Strong expertise in management skills - engagement, negotiation, managing relationships
  • Proven track record of successfully managing and improving Quality Management Systems (QMS) within the aerospace sector.
  • Excellent verbal and communication skills as well as analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify, analyze, and resolve complex quality issues.
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills to work closely with cross-functional teams and external stakeholders to drive quality initiatives.
  • Attention to detail and a meticulous approach to quality assurance, with a focus on accuracy and precision in documentation and record-keeping.
  • Proactive mindset towards continuous improvement, actively seeking opportunities to enhance quality processes and systems.
  • Strong commitment to staying updated with industry trends, advancements, and regulatory changes in the aerospace sector to ensure compliance and maintain a competitive edge.
