The Director, Strategic Procurement (Wind) will contribute to forward-looking technology and cost roadmaps, integrating analysis of market and regulatory factors, and contributing to the achievement of US domestic content and ESG goals.You will:Cultivate and maintain strategic relationships with the major OEMs, managing multi-year and multi-project framework agreements and best-in-class commercial termsOversee the procure-to-pay process for owner-furnished wind turbine equipment including vendor qualification and on-boarding, vendor selection, TSA negotiations, internal approvals, issuance of purchase orders, management of payments, logistics, and quality assuranceDevelop and maintain forward-looking technology and cost projections for owner-furnished wind turbine equipment and any associated balance of plant equipmentPerform as an expert in technology and procurement strategies and support the business in providing market knowledge to internal and external stakeholders.Lead technology assessments and reviews of existing and upcoming turbine platforms, effectively communicate the opportunities and risks associated with each technologyMonitor and evaluate the risk of geopolitical and regulatory factors that impact the supply chain and develop mitigation and/or contingency procurement strategiesContribute to the achievement of ESG goals including supplier diversity and carbon reduction targetsAssist with the project financing process, facilitating inputs from OEMs and interdisciplinary teams to independent engineering (IE) questionsManage Wind-focused procurement staff; providing guidance and supporting employee development.MPI does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, national origin, age, disability, veteran status, marital status, or based on an individual's status in any group or class protected by applicable federal, state or local law.
