Job Description

  • Responsible to lead the warehousing team in the following areas:Operational analysis/Process improvement
  • Change agent for process improvement within the 4 walls of the warehouse operations
  • Ownership and management of warehousing operating and capital budgets while delivering upon productivity improvements to meet department financial targets
  • Represent the logistics department with all levels of management
  • Establish and maintain effective and cooperative working relationships with internal and external partners
  • Foster an environment that advances staff through effective coaching, professional development and succession planning
  • Charts and leads the path for the Innovation agenda for Warehouse and Distribution, including Warehouse Management System, ERP, Inventory Management System, Labor Management System, etc
  • Develop consistent and effective tools for daily, weekly, monthly reporting of warehouse metrics and key performance indicators
  • Work with internal business partners in support of customer order optimization and ongoing vendor support initiatives
  • Create, implement, and maintain warehouse standard operating procedures and documentation
  • Lead warehouse Inventory Management Best Practices, maintain inventory integrity and oversight and ensure SOX compliance

The Successful Applicant

  • Experience in a Food Warehouse setting
  • Start Up experience preferred
  • Proven track record of building and scaling teams
  • Implementation of WMS and/or IMS systems
  • Writing and revising SOPs
  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Logisitcs, or Operations or an equivalent combination of work experience
  • Certifications: Forklift or high-lift and Electric Pallet Jack
  • Excellent leadership skills and proven ability to project manage, including strong decision making, problem solving and strategic planning abilities
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite
  • Effectively read and analyze P&L data for Warehouse and devise appropriate course corrections
  • Ability to apply critical thinking and business acumen to problem solving
  • Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality
  • Must have strong verbal and written communications skills with ability to express ideas professionally and effectively
