This client self-performs several functions and also has an in-house Steel Fabrication unit (subsidiary). This unit provides services to unrelated clients in addition to the parent GC, and is seeking a leader to step in and manage from the front while growing their market share across the state. Shop Capabilities Include:Structural packagesStairsPlates / EmbedsLaddersAnglesPlatforms / MezzaninesPrimed, painted, or galvanized finishesHandrailsMetal siding and accessoriesIf you have a passion for leading and an expertise in Steel - APPLY NOW!Job DescriptionServe all subordinates including Production Manager, Quality Manager, Project Manager, Estimator, and Office Manager with direction, leadership, support, feedback, and at least annual Employee Performance Reviews and Change in Pay Recommendations. Make them productive, and help them attain their career goals. Hire and fire with President's approval.Update or create a business development plan for the division. The Division Manager will likely manage customer relationships.Prepare or delegate estimates. Sign off on all estimates up to the policy limitsConfirm existing estimating system (manual takeoff and spreadsheet) is appropriate, or implement new system. Tekla Power Fab has been purchased.Manage or delegate project management, detailing and shop productionConfirm existing purchasing and management systems (combination of manual and Tekla Power Fab) are appropriate, or implement more of Tekla.Improve company use of BIM for estimating, proposing, and coordinating.Provide leadership of Quality Management System, including assisting with achieving AISC certification.Review and negotiate contracts/ purchase orders.Manage monthly financial statement with support from Accounting.Work with existing Operating Plan/Budget and 5 Year Vision.
