Job Description

EHS SPECIALIST:

  • Ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, and local safety and environmental regulations.
  • Conduct regular risk assessments and safety audits to identify and mitigate hazards.
  • Lead and manage incident investigations, determining root causes and recommending corrective actions.
  • Develop and implement safety programs and policies to promote a safe working environment.
  • Provide safety training and education to employees, ensuring awareness and adherence to safety protocols.
  • Monitor environmental compliance, including waste management, emissions, and sustainability initiatives.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate EHS considerations into operations and processes.
  • Track and report EHS performance metrics, driving continuous improvement efforts.
  • Maintain and update safety documentation, records, and compliance reports.
  • Lead emergency preparedness efforts, including conducting drills and updating emergency response plans.

The Successful Applicant

EHS SPECIALIST:

  • Strong knowledge of OSHA, EPA, and local safety regulations.
  • Proven experience conducting risk assessments, safety audits, and incident investigations.
  • Ability to develop and implement safety programs and policies.
  • Excellent communication skills for delivering safety training and collaborating across teams.
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to maintain accurate compliance documentation and reports.
  • Experience in a manufacturing or high-tech environment, understanding unique operational challenges.
  • Proactive problem-solver with a focus on continuous improvement of safety and environmental practices.
  • Certifications such as OSHA 30-hour or CSP (Certified Safety Professional) are preferred.
  • Demonstrated leadership in managing emergency preparedness and response plans.
  • A strong commitment to fostering a safe and environmentally compliant workplace culture.
