Job Description

The key responsibilities of the Electrical Engineer are:

  • Provide electrical engineering support to production, maintenance, and administrative functions to help meet plant operational goals.
  • Coordinate all phases of electrical engineering projects, including concept development, technical specifications, bid review, equipment design, installation, commissioning, and project close‑out.
  • Troubleshoot electrical systems, equipment, and process issues, offering practical, data‑driven solutions. Use tools such as PI Vision and Data Link to analyze process trends and diagnose issues.
  • Develop and implement electrical control solutions to support process improvements and enhance equipment reliability.
  • Support PLC/HMI upgrades, industrial controls redesign, and automation enhancements, including camera system installations for inspection or equipment monitoring.
  • Ensure safe project execution through documentation, contractor oversight, and adherence to electrical safety standards.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and cross‑functional problem‑solving efforts with engineering, maintenance, and operational teams.

The Successful Applicant

The successful Electrical Engineer will have:

    • Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical or Electrical preferred).
    • Minimum of 2 years' experience in process engineering within a manufacturing setting (metals preferred); or 5 years of relevant experience.
    • 1+ years of electrical engineering experience, ideally in a heavy manufacturing or industrial environment.
    • Experience designing, installing, and maintaining electromechanical or automated systems.
    • Proficiency with PLC programming, HMI systems, and industrial automation technologies.
    • Familiarity with SMART Manufacturing principles, automated inspection systems, and data‑driven process improvement methodologies.
    • Strong troubleshooting abilities and communication skills across diverse technical and operational groups.
