Our client is a private held company that started in New York in 2001 and has been growing every since. They have three offices across the Midwest and last year they brought in around $125 million worth of revenue. Our client does primarily commercial, health care, and data center projects. They offer terrific benefits with a strong base salary and tremendous growth opportunities. Most project managers were promoted to Senior Project Managers within 3 years.

Job Description

  • Experience in complete Industrial Electrical Job Costing and Tracking.
  • Working knowledge with electrical
  • Ability to coordinate multiple craft labor resources.
  • Ability to understand and coordinate installation methods of civil, mechanical, and electrical works, as to prevent physical interference of the final installed product between the three installation types.
  • Working knowledge of industrial construction, design, finance, and project management.
  • Demonstrated ability to apply innovative and effective management techniques to maximize performance.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills; good computer skills including MS Project, Word and Excel.
  • Good technical writing skills are required specifically noting construction proposal documents, scope of work documents, and client presentation packages.
  • Ability to utilize project proposals and contract as a management tool.
  • Ability to understand project scheduling and manpower loading.
  • Detailed knowledge base of industrial electrical estimating methods in the areas including Power, Control, Automation, Instrumentation, Lighting, Contract

The Successful Applicant

  • 5+ years of experience with a proven track record
  • Prior electrical field experience
  • Experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, Accubid, Bluebeam, Conest, or McCormick estimating software
  • High level of organization and planning abilities
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Team player with a positive attitude and is self-motivated
  • Knowledge of construction practices and methods

What's on Offer

  • Total compensation for the Electrical Project Manager/Estimator is between $90,000 and $125,000 depending on experience and maybe more than this range for candidates with exceptional experience and a successful history of performance
