Job Description
The Energy Storage - Project Manager - Houston will -
Success in this role will be defined by the development of a thorough technical understanding of cost effective decarbonization options, and delivery of actionable engineering work products.
Key responsibilities of the role are below:
- Project management of Front End Engineering and Design (FEED) studies.
- Support development of technical project scoping documents aligned with commercial targets.
- Communication of key project results to internal stakeholders including: Engineering, Operations, EHS, & Commercial Teams.
- Coordination of multiple technical engineering vendors to manage project targets around: SCOPE, SCHEDULE, & COST.
- Understand optimal scope breaks and project execution structure for projects involving multiple engineering vendors.
- Participate in interviews of technology vendors, engineering firms, and other project solution providers.
- Document and communicate findings associated with projects such that they can be leveraged across fleet.
- Develop technical expertise in decarbonization options and applicability to the company's assets.

The Successful Applicant
The ideal Energy Storage - Project Manager - Houston will have -
- BS/BA in an engineering discipline (Preferably Electrical).
- Process Design Experience in the following areas : Energy Storage, Solar, Hydrogen Production, Post-Combustion Carbon Capture, Gas-Liquid Separation Towers, etc
- Operations or Design Experience in Natural Gas Combined Cycle Power Plants and/or Integrated Chemical Facilities also relevant.
- Project management experience on large capital projects in the Utility,, Chemical Process Industry (CPI), Oil and Gas industries.
- Experience with PMP, Scrum, LEAN/Six Sigma, and other formal project management or process optimisation methodologies.
- Intermediate level presentation, Power Point and Excel model-building skills
- Experience with project management software such as MS Project or Smartsheets
- Management of Change (MOC) experience on large capital projects.
- Experience reading and interpreting contracts.
- Experience with DoE funded projects is a plus.
