Save Job Back to Search Job Description Summary Similar JobsSupport in Doubling Facility in Size!Sheet Metal Fabrication Experience Big Plus!About Our ClientOur Client is a leading metals‑based development and manufacturing partner serving the world's top Medical Technology OEMs. With over 40 years of expertise, the company delivers end‑to‑end solutions ranging from rapid prototyping to full‑scale production across a broad set of medical markets including robotic‑assisted surgery, surgical instruments, orthopedics, dental implants, radiation oncology, and diagnostic systems.Job DescriptionEngineering LeadershipLead and develop the Manufacturing Engineering team (currently 1 ME, hiring a second).Partner with VP of Engineering on NPI (New Product Introduction), automation opportunities, and cost‑optimization initiatives.Oversee sheet metal process engineering, manufacturability improvements, and workflow optimization.Define and implement engineering standards, documentation, and best practices across the site.Maintenance ManagementSupervise and grow a maintenance department currently consisting of 2 technicians, with planned expansion.Ensure high uptime and reliability of all equipment across multiple buildings.Implement preventive and predictive maintenance programs.Support facility infrastructure planning, expansions, and upgrades.Cross‑Functional CollaborationPartner with Production, Quality, Supply Chain, and San Jose engineering teams to align priorities and solve operational challenges.Support capacity planning, equipment selection, and capital expenditure initiatives.Provide technical leadership during audits, customer visits, and internal reviews.Operational ExcellenceLead problem‑solving efforts using structured methodologies (Lean, Six Sigma, root cause analysis).Drive process improvements that enhance throughput, reduce scrap/rework, and improve cost structures.Promote a safety‑first culture and ensure compliance with OSHA and company safety policies.MPI does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, national origin, age, disability, veteran status, marital status, or based on an individual's status in any group or class protected by applicable federal, state or local law.
