About Our Client

Our client is a multinational, privately held manufacturer of a number of household cleaning products and various other consumer goods. They seek an Engineering Project Manager to join the team and assist with team leadership and cross functional communication both internally and externally. Ideally this position will be someone with a desire for internal growth.

Job Description

  • Role will report to the Director of Project Management
  • Responsible for managing end to end support, coordination, and management of supply chain/operations
  • Handle cost savings initiatives, and capital expansion projects within the manufacturing facility to ensure on-time execution
  • Implement process improvement initiatives and supporting other initiatives as prioritized by the business
  • Ensures all projects are effectively executed, stakeholders are kept informed, and team members are kept prioritized, focused, and on-track to meet the objectives in our busy environment in ensuring supply
  • This position will require working on multiple projects simultaneously
  • Assist in the development of project scope of work, cost estimates, schedule, work plans, and resource requirements as part of planning phases of the project life cycle
  • Set project timelines and key milestone dates
  • Perform project budgeting/forecasting
  • Lead + facilitate project teams in execution of projects/initiatives
  • Manage and track projects through our PLM + PM tool systems (timelines budgets, strategy, project documentations)
  • Work with Plant Manager to manage project portfolio
  • Regularly update relevant stakeholders about the progress of projects, potential risks and mitigation plans

The Successful Applicant

  • Bachelor's in Chemical/Mechanical/Electrical Engineering
  • 5+ years professional engineering experience
  • Strong Leadership skills and relevant experience
  • Experience leading projects in excess of 500k
  • Effective technical communication skills both internally and externally
  • Effective presentation skills
  • Familiarity with Solidworks
  • Top Candidates would be someone with packaging experience and knowledge of PLC programming
