Job Description

  • Manage a team of engineers to consistently meet and exceed corporate goals by providing training, development and coaching to drive peak performance with direct reports
  • Develop and support a cross-functional team environment
  • Ensure project/department goals are met while following approved budgets
  • Assist in developing plant layout in planning rearrangement of facilities, equipment and operations for better utilization of space
  • Work with the management team to align priorities and cross-functional project activity
  • Manage the operational and fiscal activities of the department to include: staffing levels, budgets, and financial goals

The Successful Applicant

A successful candidate will possess the following skills/experience:

  • 8+ years in engineering and manufacturing environments
  • Knowledge of CAD design for New Product Development and legacy products
  • Experience working with ERP systems; implementing changes and setting up new document control
  • Experience supervising and/or managing staff or engineers
  • Manage projects/programs from NPD to launch of production
  • 4 year technical degree
  • Knowledge of LEAN/Six Sigma concepts
