About Our Client

Our client is a top tier global investment bank headquartered in Asia with an office in Midtown NYC. They have a great opportunity available on their Equity Operations team supporting US/International Equity trading desks.

Job Description

Key Responsibilities include:

  • Responsible for daily equity settlement, clearance and account reconciliation function
  • Interaction with Front Office, institutional clients and internal operational departments to ensure trade processing/settlement
  • Ensure new institutional accounts are onboarded accurately and on a timely manner
  • Gather account documentation according to rules and regulations
  • Assist in testing and implementing proprietary settlement and clearance systems
  • Assist in developing any necessary internal control procedures for new products and business initiatives
  • Handle various ad-hoc requests
  • Knowledge of settlement process in HK and US markets
  • Good understanding of the settlement of other markets or products would be a plus

The Successful Applicant

The ideal candidate should be:

  • Detail-oriented
  • Knowledge of settlement process in HK and US markets
  • Understanding international markets and settlement
  • Prior experience in trade support/operations
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Strong MS Office applications knowledge
  • Able to work independently and under pressure
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Must have a can-do attitude with a willingness to learn
  • Preferred 2-3 years experience in a equity trading or operations environment
  • Bachelor's degree (preferably in finance and business)
  • Fluency in Chinese would be a plus
  • Series 99, Series 7 or willingness to register
