Our client is a veteran-owned general contractor located in the northern suburbs of Chicago. They specialize in 100% federal projects located mainly in the Chicagoland area, bringing in an annual revenue of over $100M. This family feel general contractor is looking for a Project Manager to join a collaborative team that is projected to grow, with a clear path toward the Senior Project Manager level.

Job Description

  • Develop and implement master project schedule
  • Identify critical path and long lead items
  • Perform quality control duties
  • Coordinate required inspections with local municipalities and jurisdictions
  • Document control (RFI's, change orders, submittals, etc.)
  • Participate in client meetings, establish and grow long-standing client relationships

The Successful Applicant

  • 3+ years of construction experience with a general contractor
  • Degree in construction management or related discipline
  • Ability to read and interpret shop drawings, blueprints, and other construction drawings
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficient using Microsoft platforms including Microsoft Project
  • Detail-oriented
  • Ability to work in a fast paced environment
