The Finance Director will work for a well-established Construction company based near Manchester, New Hampshire and will be part of the Executive Leadership team. Job Description

The Finance Director will be responsible for the overall stability and success of the company's financials. It is a role that is part of the Executive Leadership team, responsibilities:

  • Produce and analyze monthly financial reports, including balance sheets, income statements, cash flow statements, and relevant financial ratios.
  • Manage month-end, year-end and audit prep.
  • Establish and manage policies and procedures for the Accounting Department.
  • Identify and report areas of financial efficiency and inefficiency, providing insights for strategic decision-making.
  • Ensure timely processing of monthly project billings and assist the Accounting Team as needed.
  • Oversee and report on the status of accounts receivable to Ownership and Operations.
  • Review and analyze monthly status of projects with Head of Operations
  • Ensure adherence to Generally Accepted Accounting and Auditing Principles.
  • Recognize income and expenses in appropriate accounting cycles.
  • Manage/maintain Fixed Assets and Depreciation schedules.
  • Manage/maintain short-term and long-term debt records for the company.
  • Manage the reliability of current project management software - Procore, Sage300/Timberline
  • Prepare strategic and tactical cash and income planning, forecasting, and investing.
  • Oversee and execute annual audits (workers comp, general liability, and financial audits).
  • Develop and execute tax strategies in collaboration with ownership and an external CPA firm.
  • Manage insurance renewals for property, workers' compensation, general liability, and vehicles.

The Successful Applicant

The Finance Director should have the following skill sets and qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting or Business Related Field
  • CPA preferred, not essential
  • 7 - 10 + years of progressive Finance and Accounting tenure
  • 5 + years in a Finance Leadership role
  • Construction Industry experience preferred not essential
  • Systems: Sage300/Timberline, Procore, Office
