Job Description



  • Financial Reporting:
    • Prepare, analyze, and present monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with applicable standards.
    • Develop and maintain detailed financial dashboards and management reports, providing insights into key performance indicators (KPIs) and trends.
    • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to address reporting needs and respond to ad hoc requests for financial information.


  • Budgeting and Forecasting:
    • Lead the firm's annual budgeting process, working closely with department heads to align forecasts with strategic goals.
    • Develop rolling forecasts to reflect business dynamics and recommend adjustments to meet financial targets.
    • Analyze variances between actual and budgeted figures, providing detailed commentary and actionable recommendations.


  • FP&A:
    • Drive financial planning initiatives, including scenario modeling, profitability analysis, and long-term strategic planning.
    • Assess the financial impact of business decisions, such as cost-saving initiatives, investments, and resource allocation.
    • Partner with practice group leaders and firm management to optimize financial performance, aligning financial strategies with business objectives.

The Successful Applicant

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field; CPA, CFA, or MBA preferred.
  • 7+ years of progressive experience in financial reporting, budgeting, and FP&A, preferably within a professional services or legal environment.
  • Strong proficiency in financial systems and tools (e.g., NetSuite, Adaptive Insights, or similar platforms), along with advanced Excel skills.
  • Demonstrated expertise in financial modeling, variance analysis, and data visualization.
  • Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to present complex financial concepts to non-financial stakeholders.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and thrive in a collaborative, deadline-driven setting.
