An experienced team from diverse backgrounds within Renewables and other areas of clean energy.Job DescriptionThe Floating Solar - Development Manager - California will focus on leading development through forging relationships with landowners, community leaders, utilities and stakeholder organizations.Essential responsibilities include:Identify new greenfield Floating PV (FPV) Distributed Generation (DG) project opportunities.Establish and maintain relationships with landowners, off-takers, and community members.Advance the development of assigned projects to construction ready status.Manage internal and external resources to achieve site control, permitting, interconnection, and financing, with accountability for budget and schedule.Collaborate with Technical and Finance leads to design floating solar solutions that maximize returns given commercial strategy/use cases, performance requirements, and site constraints.Create and maintain project maps, databases and tracking tools for assigned projects.Perform regional market and competitive analysis as requested.Support commercial and power marketing efforts for assigned projects.Support due diligence on project acquisition opportunities as requested.MPI does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, national origin, age, disability, veteran status, marital status, or based on an individual's status in any group or class protected by applicable federal, state or local law.
