This 3-month contract will focus on assisting the Funds Transfer Supervisor in ensuring the accurate and timely processing of all Funds Transfer-related activities on a daily basis. Continuously meet processing deadlines for Pay-Thru-Correspondent (PTC) transactions and Fedwire closing requirements. Oversee daily check clearing operations, including both Inclear and Deposits, for the New York Branch.

Job Description



  • Assist in processing various payment types (PTC, FedWire, Book Transfers, Check21, etc.) and messages in the eGifts system.


  • Support the first verification process of OFAC/Compliance items that require review, ensuring timely and accurate handling.


  • Review and either release or refer filtered OFAC-related payments and messages to the Compliance department as needed.


  • Handle department opening or closing duties according to the rotating schedule, and assist in coordinating the processing priorities for the Funds Transfer staff.



Additional duties include recommending changes to operational procedures, performing all necessary functions within the Funds Transfer area, and educating staff on tasks and responsibilities. Payments requiring Operations Control approval, such as debit or insufficient funds limits, should be referred promptly. The role also involves reviewing check clearing processes, backing up SWIFT and messaging functions, liaising with Fedwire staff to resolve operational issues, and providing backup for the Funds Transfer Supervisor when necessary to manage daily workflows.

The Successful Applicant

  • A Bachelor's degree or equivalent qualification
  • Over 3 years of experience in financial services, particularly in funds transfer operations
  • Experience with SWIFT messaging is a plus
  • Familiarity with eGifts, the Federal Reserve systems and applications, Wit$Web, and Equation
  • Excellent attention to detail and communications skills
