With a strong commitment to continuous improvement and operational excellence, the company provides an engaging workplace where individuals are encouraged to contribute, thrive, and advance their careers.Job DescriptionThis role is accountable for maintaining and enhancing the ISO 9001:2015 quality management system, including internal audits, mill equipment capability assessments, Gradebook accuracy, and production processes. The position leads and directs the Indiana Quality Team, ensuring alignment with customer expectations and compliance standards.Key Responsibilities:Apply strong metallurgical knowledge to offer technical guidance and strategic direction across the organization.Serve as the primary point of contact for customer quality concerns, offering solutions and maintaining satisfaction.Collaborate with the Technical Services Group to interpret and implement customer quality requirements, including support on product claims.Work closely with Applications & Routing teams to adapt customer specifications into effective mill procedures, routings, and configurations.Partner with Operations to develop and refine production recipes and practices that align with customer quality standards.Coordinate with the Commercial Team to evaluate product feasibility and communicate customer requirements within mill capabilities.Lead and support contracted metallurgical testing labs in delivering high-quality services for both customer orders and internal process/product development.Provide organizational leadership on matters related to ISO certification and overall quality assurance.Manage product quality risks by evaluating nonconforming or suspect material, making disposition decisions in collaboration with Planning, Operations, Shipping, Technical Services, Sales, Accounting, and other stakeholders as needed.Perform additional related tasks to support business objectivesMPI does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, national origin, age, disability, veteran status, marital status, or based on an individual's status in any group or class protected by applicable federal, state or local law.
