Job Description

  1. Develop and Implement Global Procurement Strategy:
    • Develop a comprehensive global procurement strategy aligned with the company's overall objectives and business needs.
    • Identify opportunities for strategic sourcing, supplier consolidation, and process optimization to achieve cost savings and improve operational efficiency.
    • Implement best practices and procurement policies to standardize processes and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.

  2. Supplier Relationship Management:
    • Build and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers to foster collaboration, innovation, and value creation.
    • Negotiate contracts and agreements with suppliers to optimize pricing, terms, and service levels.
    • Conduct regular supplier performance reviews and address any issues or concerns to drive continuous improvement.

  3. Strategic Sourcing and Category Management:
    • Lead strategic sourcing initiatives for key categories of spend, including market analysis, supplier selection, and contract negotiations.
    • Identify opportunities for supplier diversification, risk mitigation, and innovation within assigned categories.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop category strategies and ensure alignment with business objectives.

  4. Cost Management and Savings Initiatives:
    • Drive cost reduction initiatives through strategic sourcing, demand management, and value engineering.
    • Track and report cost savings achieved through procurement initiatives, and identify opportunities for further optimization.
    • Monitor market trends, commodity prices, and currency fluctuations to proactively manage cost risks and opportunities.

  5. Process Optimization and Technology Enablement:
    • Implement procurement best practices and tools to streamline processes, enhance efficiency, and improve visibility into spend.
    • Leverage procurement technologies, such as e-sourcing platforms and spend analytics tools, to drive data-driven decision-making and performance monitoring.
    • Identify opportunities for automation and digitization to improve workflow efficiency and reduce manual intervention.

  6. Risk Management and Compliance:
    • Assess and mitigate risks associated with global procurement activities, including supply chain disruptions, geopolitical factors, and regulatory compliance.
    • Ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and company policies related to procurement practices, ethical sourcing, and sustainability.
    • Develop contingency plans and alternative sourcing strategies to mitigate potential risks and ensure business continuity.

The Successful Applicant

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or related field; Master's degree preferred.
  • Must be fluent in Spanish
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in procurement, strategic sourcing, or supply chain management, with a focus on global operations.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to lead cross-functional teams and drive change in a dynamic environment.
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and influence stakeholders at all levels.
  • Deep understanding of procurement principles, best practices, and market dynamics across multiple categories and industries.
  • Proficiency in procurement technologies and tools, such as ERP systems, e-sourcing platforms, and spend analytics software.
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., CSCP, CPSM, CIPS) are a plus.

What's on Offer

Target compensation for the Global Procurement Manager is $120,000 - $145,000 + 15% Bonus.
