My client is a large global manufacturer within the CPG space. They are growing exponentially and looking to transform their procurement function. The Global Strategic Sourcing Manager must be fluent in Spanish.

Job Description

  1. Develop Global Sourcing Strategy:
    • Formulate and execute a comprehensive global sourcing strategy aligned with the company's overall objectives.
    • Identify opportunities for cost savings, risk mitigation, and supplier diversification on a global scale.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into sourcing initiatives.

  2. Supplier Relationship Management:
    • Build and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers to ensure alignment with the company's goals and objectives.
    • Negotiate favorable terms and contracts with suppliers to optimize pricing, quality, and delivery terms.
    • Monitor supplier performance and conduct regular reviews to drive continuous improvement.

  3. Market Analysis and Benchmarking:
    • Conduct market research and analysis to stay informed about global sourcing trends, industry best practices, and emerging technologies.
    • Benchmark supplier performance, pricing, and service levels to identify opportunities for improvement and innovation.

  4. Risk Management:
    • Assess and mitigate risks associated with global sourcing activities, including geopolitical, economic, and supply chain risks.
    • Develop contingency plans and alternative sourcing strategies to ensure business continuity in the event of disruptions.

  5. Cost Management:
    • Drive cost reduction initiatives through strategic sourcing, value engineering, and demand management.
    • Identify opportunities for process optimization and efficiency gains to achieve cost savings targets.

  6. Cross-Functional Collaboration:
    • Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including Procurement, Operations, Finance, and Legal, to align sourcing activities with business objectives.
    • Provide guidance and support to regional sourcing teams to ensure consistency and alignment with global strategies.

The Successful Applicant

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or related field; Master's degree preferred.
  • Must be fluent in Spanish
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in strategic sourcing, procurement, or supply chain management, preferably in a multinational environment.
  • Strong understanding of global sourcing principles, procurement best practices, and contract negotiation.
  • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to analyze complex data and make data-driven decisions.
  • Proven track record of delivering cost savings, process improvements, and supplier relationship management.
  • Exceptional communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Proficiency in sourcing tools and technologies, such as e-sourcing platforms and ERP systems.
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., CSCP, CPSM, CIPS) are a plus.

What's on Offer

Target compensation for the Global Strategic Sourcing Manager is $120,000 - $145,000 base salary + 15% bonus.
