This role will be on-site in Alexandria, VA.Job DescriptionThe Government Projects Assistant Project Manager - Alexandria, VA will be responsible for: Supporting the Project Manager in planning, organizing, and managing construction projects from pre-construction through closeoutAssisting in preparing project schedules, budgets, and work plansCoordinating and communicating with subcontractors, suppliers, architects, engineers, and internal teamsTracking project progress and maintaining accurate documentation, including RFIs, submittals, change orders, and meeting minutesEnsuring compliance with safety regulations, building codes, and contract requirementsMonitoring project costs and assisting in managing budgets and forecastsProcuring materials, equipment, and subcontractor servicesAttending site visits and project meetings, taking notes, and following up on action itemsAssisting with quality control and ensuring deliverables meet required standardsIdentifying and resolving project issues to avoid delays or cost overrunsContributing to closeout procedures including punch lists, final inspections, and turnover packagesMPI does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, national origin, age, disability, veteran status, marital status, or based on an individual's status in any group or class protected by applicable federal, state or local law.
