MPI encourages applications from minorities, women, the disabled, protected veterans and all other qualified applicants.The Successful ApplicantThis position requires a BS or MS in Electrical Engineering with strong academic background and coursework emphasis in Power Systems Analysis.3+ years previous power systems engineering experience, including one or more of the following:Knowledge of power regions and ISOs/RTOs - PJM, MISO, NYISO, ERCOT, SPP, CAISO, and ISO-NEExperience in modeling inverter-based resources and renewable generation, such as Wind Turbine Generators (WTG), photovoltaic (PV), Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS), and hybrid generation, and associated collector system for interconnection applications within software programs PSS/E, PSLF, and/or PSCADExperience in using transmission planning software, particularly PSS/E, PSLF and TARA, for load flow modeling and contingency studiesExperience in dynamic transient, stability, and other advance studies in TSAT, EMTP-RV or PSCAD is a plus.Also extremely important are:Excellent verbal/written communication skills.Experience in writing technical reports and proposals.Solid interpersonal skills and ability to work with and guide others.Project planning and leadership skills.What's on OfferCompetitive hourly pay between $45 and $75 USD.Flexibility that works: Choose a hybrid or remote schedule that fits your life and projectsAccess to medical, dental, and vision benefits.Opportunity to work in a key role within the energy and natural resources sector.A temporary position offering hands-on experience with impactful projects.This is an excellent opportunity for a dedicated Project Manager T&D to make a meaningful impact.
