America, with GWs of Renewable Assets in Operation, GWs of projects under Construction, and GWs of projects in their Development Pipeline - Onshore/Offshore Wind, Solar, Solat+, Hydrogen, Transmission, Long Duration Storage, etc etc.
Job Description
The Grid-Scale Renewables - Director, Mergers/Acquisitions - CA, will have the below responsibilities:
M&A
- Source and lead M&A transactions (negotiations, due diligence, valuations, etc.)
- Develop relationships with broad market participants in order to provide insights and generate actionable ideas for potential projects or opportunities
Strategic Support
- Coordinate/drive M&A strategy development, refinement, research, etc. for Strategic Initiatives (SDI) team and regional business units
- Generate actionable insights on ideal M&A positioning and future trends
- Develop and own strategic/economic frameworks, models, etc. underpinning decision making
- Apply creative problem-solving/ analysis skills to synthesise and communicate actionable insights/conclusions/strategy
Internal Process Management
- Support process development and improvements across SDI, particularly within M&A and partnering
- Manage quarterly budget reporting requirements for M&A function
Leadership
- Manage and mentor junior team members

The Successful Applicant
The right Grid-Scale Renewables - Director, Mergers/Acquisitions - CA will have:
- Bachelor's degree in Economics, Finance, Business or a related technical field; MBA preferred.
- 10+ years professional experience with strong quantitative and analysis background.
- 5+ years energy transactions experience required; familiarity with Utility-Scale renewable energy and transmission preferred.

Competitive Base Salary up to $215k
Annual Bonus up to 35%

Ideally based in San Diego, Oakland, San Francisco, or a commuteable distance away - but open to 100% remote.
