Job Description

The key responsibilities for a Superintendent include:

  • Help oversee management of construction projects and lead team in cooperative and synergistic efforts with other disciplines on projects
  • Promote and maintain client relationships
  • Support and coordinate interface between design and field construction
  • Develop and implement site utilization plan and establish needed crew size
  • Assist Project Manager on handling cost, and budget
  • Develop interest and negotiate with subcontractors, for bidders list
  • Prepare all required project status reports to coordinate with client
  • Develop frequent site inspections, while maintaining construction safety and OSHA compliance program

The Successful Applicant

The successful candidate for Superintendent possesses:

  • Bachelor's Degree, in Construction Management, Civil Engineering or related field
  • 5+ year of experience in the Construction industry preferred - includes internship experience
  • Experience in design/build or related field
  • Experience on ground up Multi-family projects
  • Works well in a team environment but is someone who can be self-sufficient when needed
  • Working knowledge of mechanical systems and structures
  • Excellent communication skills with various parties including management, subcontractors, consultants, architects, vendors, and clients
