Job Description

As the Head of Procurement you will be responsible for the following:

  • You will define the overall sourcing and procurement strategy, ensuring alignment with the business and operations strategic objectives.
  • Developing and implementing fundamental sourcing and procurement policies and procedures across spending categories, including third-party management, privacy, risk, and compliance.
  • Formulating and implementing clear roles and responsibilities between contract reviews, sourcing, and procurement functions.
  • Leading the selection and implementation of sourcing and procure-to-pay solutions to enable a complete process that provides visibility of spend and better controls of the sourcing and procurement process.
  • Creating and implementing key strategic programs and projects to align with the needs o the business.
  • Collaborating and contributing cross-functionally to develop and recommend sourcing solutions, limiting risk, adhering to compliance policies, and ensuring continuity and go-to-market timelines are met.
  • Directly managing complex negotiations with suppliers that require a detailed strategic plan and have a direct correlation with operational goals.
  • Ensuring relationship development and management with key suppliers.
  • Providing continuous leadership, oversight of work quality, and constructive feedback to the team.
  • Managing and improving sourcing processes/performance through an effective management operating system to drive change and procurement transformation.
  • Provide technical expertise and support during the sales process, including participating in client calls and meetings, and answering technical questions related to procurement.
  • Effectively communicate the company's value to customers and maintain executive relationships.

The Successful Applicant

  • Ten to twelve (10-12) years of managerial experience, global
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Marketing, Accounting, or Supply Chain
  • Strong negotiation skills
  • Great relationship manager with vendors, customers, and cross-functional business leads
  • Proven experience managing complex partnerships and projects
  • Strategic thinker around sourcing and procurement
  • Subject matter expert on sourcing and procurement processes
