Description

$400mm, Africa equities-focused hedge fund is looking to add an Analyst to their investment team. The fund has a strong performance record and this hire is necessary as the team is looking to grow. Founders have buyside and EMEA experience and have been able to establish a great track record over the last 6 years.The analyst will be part of a lean investment team (currently 3 professionals) where they will be responsible for:

Generation and evaluation of investment ideas
Monitoring of current positions
Analyzing financial statements, market research and building financial models to support their views

The Successful Applicant

The fund is open to experience but prefers:

1-5 years Accounting/Financial Analysis experience
Strong interpersonal skills, entrepreneurialism, ability to think independently and be part of a team
French and/or Arabic fluency, a plus
FinTech experience, a plus
Openness to travel to AfricaThe fund is willing to teach the technical skills and other analytical parts of the role for the right candidate.
