Identify and manage outsourced counsel to address site needs, eg: Employment Law, Environment, Safety, Contracts, Taxation and General Counsel. Coordinate issuance of and manage spending on Purchase Orders for outsourced counsel. Conduct initial and final review of legal documents in collaboration with outsourced counsel. Assist in drafting, reviewing, checking, and organizing legal documents prepared by outsourced such as contracts and intercompany agreements. This includes Master Service and Statements of Work, with assistance from other departments. Designing and managing document libraries, creating flows, and managing permissions on sites. Monitor applicable regulations which could impact site operations. Communicate to site leadership in a timely fashion to allow appropriate response. Organize and archive documents related to completed and ongoing matters, including creation of a legal document database in partnership with IT. Project management of outsourced counsel, including maintaining to-do lists, coordinating meetings, updating step plans, assisting in transaction closing process (closing checklists, sending documents out, organizing closing sets for reorganizations and other transactions). MPI encourages applications from minorities, women, the disabled, protected veterans and all other qualified applicants.The Successful ApplicantBachelors degree required; Paralegal certificate preferred.5-10+ years of paralegal experience, either with a law firm or the legal department of a large, multinational corporation.Merger and acquisition and business development transactions experience a plus.Advance knowledge of software applications, including Microsoft Office, Adobe, and other web-based applications.
