About Our Client

Our client is a public works general contractor within the NYC area. They specialize in projects in transit, infrastructure, and institutional sectors. They're currently looking for their first HR hire in their Long Island office. This is an exciting opportunity to pioneer a new department in the company.

Job Description

  • Plan and implement HR policies and procedures.
  • Manage employee relations cases and investigations.
  • Design and implement benefit programs.
  • Ensure legal compliance.
  • Manage recruiting and training.

The Successful Applicant

  • 3 to 5 years of HR experience, preferably in construction or a related field.
  • Experience handling employee relations issues and cases.
  • The ability to be on-site in Nassau County five days a week.
  • Knowledge of compliance.
