Job Description

  • Creates and/or reviews company policies and advises management regarding the appropriate course of action
  • Conducts investigation of claims of discrimination, harassment, etc. and reports findings to senior management
  • Prepares and conducts training on all areas of human resources
  • Counsels and coaches supervisors and managers on employee relations issues
  • Partners with the Executive Management in the development of the Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI) strategic vision and serves as the subject matter in related projects and initiatives.
  • Determines the content of new employee orientation and conducts when needed
  • Conducts exit interviews to determine reasons behind separation. Compiles data and escalates areas of concern to the executive management team
  • Presents and communicates ideas and strategies to senior management to suggest a change or make improvements to company policy, HR processes, etc.
  • Oversees the administration of unemployment responses, appeals in a timely, thorough and accurate manner, and attends hearings as needed
  • Manages FMLA and other leaves as needed

The Successful Applicant

  • Bachelor's Degree or related experience
  • 5+ years of HR experience, PHR or SHRM highly preferred
  • Ability to negotiate skillfully with both internal and external groups
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills
