Job Description

  • Oversee all HR functions, including payroll, benefits, compliance, and employee relations.
  • Serve as the primary HR contact for the plant, partnering with leadership and union representatives.
  • Manage full-cycle payroll and oversee time tracking.
  • Handle labor relations, including contract interpretation and employee grievances.
  • Ensure compliance with federal and state labor laws, including EEO and affirmative action reporting.
  • Lead recruiting, onboarding, and training initiatives to support workforce development.
  • Support safety programs, workers' compensation, and leave administration.
  • Drive employee engagement and retention strategies in collaboration with leadership.

The Successful Applicant

  • 3-4 years of HR experience in a manufacturing setting.
  • Payroll experience with the ability to run weekly payroll independently.
  • Some union experience required.
  • Bachelor's degree in HR or related field preferred (or Associate's with HR certifications).
  • Strong interpersonal skills-personable, approachable, yet firm when needed.
  • Ability to work independently while being part of a broader HR team.
