Our global FinTech client is seeking an HR Specialist to join their team in Manhattan. This individual will support core human resources functions including recruiting, HR operations, onboarding, and employee engagement initiatives, while partnering closely with senior leadership. About Our Client

This is a global fintech organization with international offices and planned future expansion. Due to the lean size of the team, the HR Specialist will have the unique opportunity to collaborate directly with C‑suite executives and contribute meaningfully to HR initiatives. The role will be 3 days onsite after the first month, with a planned full return‑to‑office in the coming years.

Job Description

  • Support full‑cycle recruitment by coordinating interviews, managing candidate communication, and maintaining applicant tracking accuracy.
  • Assist with background checks via third‑party vendors and support compliance processes.
  • Support onboarding activities, maintain employee records, and assist with benefits and leave administration.
  • Serve as a reliable point of contact for employee inquiries and help ensure proper application of company policies.
  • Contribute to culture and employee engagement initiatives that promote a collaborative, inclusive work environment.
  • Mandarin proficiency required.

The Successful Applicant

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related field.
  • 1 year of HR‑related experience (HR operations, recruiting, or generalist support preferred).
  • Professional proficiency in Mandarin required.
  • Strong communication skills and an interest in financial services.
  • Comfortable working in a smaller, fast‑moving team environment and motivated to learn.
  • Basic knowledge of HR policies, labor laws, and HR best practices.
