Our client is a fast growing industry leader in their space. They have multiple locations across the Midwest and are looking for a HR leader who can own the function and make it best in class.

Managing a team of 1 to begin with this individual will sit with the executive team.

Job Description

The Human Resource Manager will be responsible for managing and overseeing all human resource functions within the organization. This role will be apart of the executive team reporting into the President. Overseeing over 150 employees this role will be looked at to continuously improve the HR function including employee engagement, and more. The ideal candidate will have extensive knowledge of human resource policies and procedures, payroll, employee relations, compensation and benefits, and compliance with employment laws and regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Develop and implement human resource policies and procedures that align with the organization's goals and objectives.
  2. Manage the recruitment, selection, and onboarding processes, ensuring that the organization attracts and retains top talent.
  3. Manage and oversee the organization's payroll processes, ensuring that all employees are paid accurately and on time. This includes maintaining accurate payroll records, reconciling payroll transactions, and preparing payroll reports. The Human Resource Manager will also be responsible for ensuring compliance with relevant payroll laws and regulations.
  4. Conduct employee performance evaluations and provide feedback and coaching to improve performance and productivity.
  5. Oversee the administration of employee benefits programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, and other related benefits.
  6. Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
  7. Develop and manage employee training and development programs to enhance employee skills and knowledge.
  8. Address employee concerns and grievances and work to resolve conflicts in a timely and effective manner.
  9. Manage the HR budget and ensure the efficient use of resources.
  10. Collaborate with other managers and executives to identify staffing needs and develop workforce plans that align with the organization's strategic objectives.
  11. Maintain accurate and complete employee records and HR databases

The Successful Applicant


  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resource Management, Business Administration or related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in Human Resource Management, with a proven track record of success.
  • Experience in managing payroll processes and systems.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
  • Thorough knowledge of employment laws and regulations.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Proficient in the use of HR software and systems.
