Job Description

  1. HR Strategy and Planning:
    • Develop and execute HR strategies aligned with the plant's goals and objectives.
    • Collaborate with plant leadership to forecast HR needs and develop workforce plans.
    • Identify opportunities for process improvement and implement HR best practices.

  2. Talent Acquisition and Recruitment:
    • Lead recruitment efforts to attract, select, and onboard top talent.
    • Develop sourcing strategies and oversee recruitment processes.
    • Ensure compliance with equal employment opportunity (EEO) regulations and diversity initiatives.

  3. Employee Relations and Engagement:
    • Serve as a primary point of contact for employee relations issues, investigations, and conflict resolution.
    • Implement employee engagement initiatives to enhance morale and foster a positive work culture.
    • Conduct regular employee feedback surveys and analyze results to drive improvements.

  4. Performance Management:
    • Oversee performance management processes, including goal setting, performance evaluations, and development planning.
    • Provide guidance and coaching to managers and employees on performance-related matters.
    • Ensure performance management systems are fair, transparent, and aligned with business objectives.

  5. Training and Development:
    • Identify training needs and develop training programs to enhance employee skills and competencies.
    • Coordinate training sessions, workshops, and development programs.
    • Monitor training effectiveness and evaluate ROI on development initiatives.

  6. Compensation and Benefits Administration:
    • Administer compensation and benefits programs, ensuring competitiveness and compliance with regulations.
    • Conduct salary reviews, bench-marking, and analysis to ensure equitable compensation practices.
    • Manage employee benefits enrollment, communication, and vendor relationships.

  7. HR Compliance and Legal Requirements:
    • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
    • Stay abreast of changes in legislation and update HR policies and procedures accordingly.
    • Maintain accurate HR records and documentation to support compliance efforts.

The Successful Applicant

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field; Master's degree preferred.
  • Proven experience (5 years) in HR management, preferably in a manufacturing or plant environment.
  • In-depth knowledge of HR principles, practices, and regulations.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build relationships at all levels of the organization.
  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
  • Ability to handle confidential information with integrity and discretion.
  • HR certification (e.g., PHR, SPHR) is a plus.

What's on Offer

Target compensation for the Human Resources Plant Manager is $120,000 - $135,000 base salary + 20% bonus. Compensation is commensurate with candidate experience.
