My client is a fast growing global manufacturer within the consumer goods space. This is an exciting role for someone that is looking to touch all aspects of human resources and oversee the strategy within a plant environment.

Job Description

  1. Recruitment and Staffing:
    • Develop and implement recruitment strategies to attract top talent for various roles within the plant.
    • Coordinate with hiring managers to define job requirements, conduct interviews, and facilitate the selection process.
    • Oversee onboarding processes for new hires, ensuring smooth integration into the plant's operations.

  2. Employee Relations:
    • Serve as a point of contact for employee inquiries, concerns, and grievances, fostering a positive and supportive work environment.
    • Mediate conflicts and disputes among employees, striving to achieve fair and equitable resolutions.
    • Implement and enforce company policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with labor regulations and ethical standards.

  3. Performance Management:
    • Develop and implement performance management systems to evaluate employee performance and provide constructive feedback.
    • Collaborate with department managers to set performance goals and objectives aligned with organizational targets.
    • Conduct regular performance reviews and recommend training and development opportunities to enhance employee skills and competencies.

  4. Training and Development:
    • Identify training needs and coordinate training programs to enhance employee capabilities and promote career growth.
    • Organize orientation sessions, workshops, and seminars to educate employees on relevant topics, such as safety protocols, compliance regulations, and technical skills.
    • Monitor training effectiveness and adjust programs as necessary to meet evolving business needs.

  5. Compensation and Benefits:
    • Administer compensation and benefits programs, including salary reviews, bonuses, and employee benefits packages.
    • Conduct market research to benchmark compensation levels and ensure competitiveness in the industry.
    • Advise management on compensation strategies to attract and retain top talent while managing costs effectively.

  6. Compliance and Risk Management:
    • Ensure compliance with labor laws, regulations, and company policies, maintaining accurate records and documentation.
    • Collaborate with legal and compliance teams to address employment-related legal matters and mitigate risks.
    • Stay abreast of changes in employment laws and regulations, implementing necessary updates to HR policies and procedures.

  7. Employee Engagement and Culture:
    • Develop initiatives to foster a positive and inclusive work culture, promoting employee morale, motivation, and teamwork.
    • Organize employee engagement activities, such as team-building events, recognition programs, and wellness initiatives.
    • Solicit feedback from employees through surveys and focus groups to identify areas for improvement and implement relevant initiatives.

The Successful Applicant

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources Management, Business Administration, or a related field; Master's degree preferred.
  • Proven experience in human resources management, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial setting.
  • Strong knowledge of employment laws, regulations, and best practices.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport and resolve conflicts effectively.
  • Demonstrated leadership abilities, with a strategic mindset and the capacity to influence and drive change.
  • Proficiency in HRIS (Human Resources Information Systems) and other HR software applications.
  • Certification in HR (e.g., PHR, SPHR) is a plus.

What's on Offer

Target compensation for the Human Resources Plant Manager is $110,000 - $140,000 base salary + Bonus. Compensation is commensurate with experience.
