Save JobEmail Job Back to Search Job Description Summary Similar JobsIndirect Procurement Opportunity at a leading Food and Bev manufacturerCompetitive Salary, Amazing Growth Opportunity, Direct Hire RoleAbout Our ClientOur client is an industry leader in the Food and Beverage Manufacturing space and have been in operation for 25+ years.Job Description Drive the development of SOPs and establish governance process for indirect procurement.Develop and execute forward looking plans and purchases for indirect procurement items.Responsible for developing/executing safety stock strategies to enable efficient inventory levels while supporting business needs.Understand and analyze key forecast change drivers by working directly with cross-functional teams and tracking larger market trends.Perform root cause analysis, developing and presenting action plans to mitigate any future risk.Resolve supply issues that arise from inbound transportation, internal schedule changes, and vendor supply interruption.Responsible for reducing and tracking projected write offs and supporting accounting for reconciliation for invoice discrepancies.Responsible for supporting supplier system connectivity through collaborative tools/methods (EDI, web, ASN, vendor portal, etc.).Establish and maintain effective partnerships with key internal stakeholders aimed at identifying, understanding and fulfilling their requirements.Identify cost-saving and cost-reduction opportunities and build a culture of long-term savings on procurement costs without compromising supply assurance or quality.Support overall Supplier QA and service score carding programs, by working with supply chain teams, operations, and others to ensure performance metrics are visible to overall organization and supply base.Influence suppliers to participate and implement key supply chain initiatives.Complete any other relevant duties as assigned.MPI does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, national origin, age, disability, veteran status, marital status, or based on an individual's status in any group or class protected by applicable federal, state or local law.
