Description
Indirect Strategic Sourcing Specialistwill be responsible for:
- Sourcing components and services by negotiating pricing and delivery
- Support Regional Category Manager
- Assist with projects involving sourcing new Suppliers, bidding indirect products and services, performing spreadsheet analysis.
- Identify savings projects within the sites and region
- Negotiate Cost Savings for indirect categories
- Develop & implement procurement strategies based on the needs of the business
- Identify cost savings opportunities and manages cost reduction activities to achieve annual cost reduction goal
- Analyze spend, market position, & other factors to optimize company performance & efficiency
- Source new vendors & periodically inspect/visit them
- Lead cross-functional team(s) in the identification of alternative product/suppliers, facilitates qualification trials, and conduct supplier management to drive continuous improvement
- Establish & maintain relationships with vendors
The Successful Applicant
- Bachelor Degree in Supply chain or related field
- 3 - 5 years experience
- Good interpersonal relationship skills.
- Experience independently running RFP, RFQs
- Must have at least 2-3 years demonstrated analytical skills.
- Demonstrated analytical and Root Cause determination skills.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Strong computer skills.
- Must be responsible and dependable.
