This role will take the lead on overseeing their Interconnection processes for their existing and future projects. They currently have 18 people in their team but will be looking to build out multiple functions including their Development and Interconnection teams in the coming months.Job DescriptionThe Interconnection Lead will:This position will provide interconnection & market support to help grow company's solar & storage portfolio across various regions within USThis position will be assisting the CEO and experience in either western or eastern interconnection is requiredSupport company's power generation project development, acquisition, and operations activities in the areas of electric transmission/interconnection/marketsSupport preparing, submitting, and managing generator interconnection requests and follow study processes as neededPerform power flow analysis, review models, and review studies to determine potential upgrade and costs associated with interconnectionCoordinate, review, and interpret interconnection and transmission studies (short circuit, transient stability, and load flow) performed by utilities and outside consultantsSupport developing strategies to enter new markets and select preferred zones within various markets for greenfield developmentMaintain a thorough understanding of key congestion issues across various ISOs/RTOs (mainly PJM, MISO and WECC)Support M&A team as needed on transmission, interconnection & congestion issues and support developing views on preferred markets / zonesAssist in developing supply stack assumptions across various marketsSupport performing economic assessment / production cost modeling as needed to support due diligence activitiesFollow key ISO/RTO stakeholder processes and provide inputs to the team on key market/policy issuesMPI does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, national origin, age, disability, veteran status, marital status, or based on an individual's status in any group or class protected by applicable federal, state or local law.
