The client is a Texas-based real estate investment firm focused on the acquisition and development of workforce multifamily communities in Texas.

Job Description

Position Responsibilities:
* Underwrite new acquisition and development investment opportunities
* Update and maintain financial models and track asset performance
* Assist with the due diligence process
* Prepare presentation materials
* Perform analyses including sensitivity analysis, portfolio modeling, stress testing, and other ad-hoc analyses to support investment decision making
* Assist in market research, including gathering market comps, zoning information, and demographic and economic data
* Interface with internal and external parties, such as brokers, operating partners, lenders, legal counsel, and other key relationships as needed

The Successful Applicant

Candidate Requirements:
* Cultural fit is key. The ideal candidate is low-ego and collaborative, while being responsible and self-motivated. A desire to support the creation of healthy communities and cities is a plus
* Bachelor's degree from a four-year university is required with an academic focus in Real Estate preferred (major, minor, certificate, etc.)
* A minimum of 1-3 years of experience in the real estate industry is required.
* Experience in similar roles in the multifamily sector, including acquisitions, development, and asset management is preferred
* Comprehensive understanding of financial concepts and real estate fundamentals
* Strong Microsoft Excel financial modeling capabilities
* Proficiency with Microsoft PowerPoint and Microsoft Word
* Strong verbal and written communication skills
* Strong organizational skills with the ability to monitor processes and prioritize tasks
