This position will play a key role in evaluating and executing real estate acquisition, development, and asset management strategies across a diversified portfolio that may include multifamily, industrial, retail, office, and mixed-use assets.

Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

  • Market Research & Analysis:
  • Conduct in-depth market research to identify investment opportunities in Houston and other target markets across Texas and the Sun Belt region.
  • Financial Modeling & Valuation:
  • Build and maintain detailed financial models (DCF, IRR, sensitivity analysis) to assess the viability and performance of potential acquisitions or developments.
  • Due Diligence:
  • Lead and support due diligence efforts including reviewing financial statements, leases, third-party reports, and legal documentation.
  • Investment Memos:
  • Prepare comprehensive investment memos and presentation materials for internal Investment Committee and capital partners.
  • Transaction Execution:
  • Assist in all aspects of deal execution, including coordinating with brokers, legal teams, lenders, and third-party consultants.
  • Asset Management Support:
  • Collaborate with the Asset Management team to monitor and optimize the performance of existing investments.
  • Stakeholder Engagement:
  • Support investor relations, equity partner communications, and fundraising efforts as needed.

The Successful Applicant

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Real Estate, Economics, or related field; MBA or Master's in Real Estate a plus.
  • 2-4 years of experience in real estate investment, private equity, investment banking, or related field.
  • Strong financial modeling and analytical skills; proficiency in Excel and Argus required.
  • Familiarity with commercial real estate valuation methods and metrics (cap rates, NOI, IRR, etc.).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.
  • Local market knowledge of Houston or Texas real estate is a strong plus.
