Job Description

Reporting to the Director of IT the IT Support Specialist will play an integral role in ensuring all technology issues are handled smoothly.

  • Provide first-level technical support to internal users via phone, email, or in person.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve hardware and software issues related to desktops, laptops, printers, and other peripherals.
  • Assist users with password resets, account setup, and basic software applications.
  • Document all support activities, including issue details, resolutions, and follow-up actions.
  • Escalate unresolved issues to Level 2 or Level 3 support teams and track progress until resolution.
  • Collaborate with other IT teams to implement and maintain IT policies, procedures, and standards.
  • Participate in training sessions to enhance technical skills and stay updated on new technologies.
  • Provide excellent customer service and ensure timely response and resolution of user queries and problems.

The Successful Applicant

  • Proven experience in a help desk or technical support role, preferably in a corporate environment.
  • Strong knowledge of Windows and/or Mac operating systems, Microsoft Office Suite, and basic networking concepts.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical users.
