Job Description

Responsibilities of the Jr. HR Business Partner include:

  • Assist the HR Business Partners with various daily HR tasks.
  • Proactively identify HR and business needs to help achieve desired outcomes.
  • Create and manage new positions in Workday for specific business units.
  • Handle employee transfers and promotions within Workday.
  • Manage both voluntary and involuntary employee separations in Workday.
  • Stay informed about legal requirements for employee management to minimize legal risks and ensure compliance, working with the legal department as necessary.
  • Help the Talent Management team implement projects that support the strategic goals.
  • Contribute to the development of employee programs managed by the Talent Management team.
  • Oversee performance management processes for business units.
  • Conduct follow-up sessions with new hires 30 days after their start date to ensure they have the necessary resources.
  • Provide ad-hoc reporting and headcount information for client groups using Workday.
  • Assist with various HR projects and maintain data in Workday.
  • Maintain promotion trackers and draft firmwide promotion emails.
  • Undertake special projects and additional tasks as needed.

The Successful Applicant

Qualifications of the Jr. HR Business Partner include:

  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • 3-6 years of experience in Human Resources, Campus Recruitment, Talent Management.
  • Experience working within the Investment Management, Private Equity, Investment Banking, or Financial Services industries required.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office.
  • Capable of managing multiple complex, time-sensitive priorities and demands from various stakeholders; possesses strong time management and prioritization skills; able to meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal), presentation, documentation, and interpersonal abilities; customer-focused and able to confidently interact with all organizational levels.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Highly analytical with the ability to evaluate data, identify trends, and make insightful recommendations.
  • Detail-oriented, highly organized, and process-driven.
  • Strong team player with the ability to collaborate and build strong partnerships with clients and HR.
  • Self-directed, proactive, and able to thrive in a collaborative and fast-paced environment; demonstrates flexibility and adaptability.
  • Strong sense of ownership and accountability; exercises sound judgment and decision-making.
  • Capable of handling confidential information with discretion.
  • Exercises good judgment in knowing when to escalate issues versus solving problems independently.
  • Flexible with work hours to coordinate with team members across different time zones.
