Job Description

Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Oversee and direct construction projects from conception to completion.
  • Review the project in-depth to schedule deliverable and estimate costs.
  • Coordinate and direct construction workers and subcontractors.
  • Select tools, materials and equipment, and track inventory.
  • Meet contractual conditions of performance.
  • Review the work progress on daily basis.
  • Prepare internal and external reports pertaining to job status.
  • Negotiate terms of agreements, draft contracts and obtain permits and licenses.
  • Ensure quality construction standards and the use of proper construction techniques.

The Successful Applicant

The successful Lead Multifamily Construction Superintendent will have:

  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in construction, with a significant focus in one of their sectors, podium build, garden style, wood frame, affordable housing, and high rise.
  • Proven track record of successfully leading and completing complex projects on time and within budget.
  • Extensive knowledge of construction methods, materials, and best practices, with a keen eye for quality and attention to detail.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a diverse workforce.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with clients, subcontractors, and internal stakeholders.
  • Solid understanding of safety regulations and procedures, with a commitment to creating and maintaining a safe work environment.
  • Proficiency in construction management software and tools.
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., OSHA 30-Hour, LEED) are highly desirable.
