About Our Client

An established and well‑respected general contractor specializing in education and public-sector projects is seeking a driven Superintendent to lead field operations on complex commercial builds. This is a hands‑on leadership role with real ownership of delivery, quality, safety, and schedule.

Job Description

As the Superintendent, you will oversee day‑to‑day site operations and partner closely with the Project Manager to deliver projects safely, efficiently, and to the highest standards.

  • Lead all field activities from pre‑construction through closeout, ensuring full alignment with project plans, specifications, and timelines
  • Drive all pre‑start coordination, including subcontractor onboarding and constructability reviews
  • Maintain, update, and present the master schedule and develop short‑interval plans to keep work progressing ahead of targets
  • Oversee quality control, documentation, reporting, and subcontractor performance throughout the build
  • Manage weekly trade meetings, material delivery tracking, and site logistics
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safety‑focused jobsite environment at all times
  • Support project closeout, including punch list execution and final inspections
  • Coach and develop assistant‑level field staff as needed

The Successful Applicant

For the Superintendent, we are seeking:

  • 3+ years' experience as a Lead Superintendent on large commercial projects
  • Strong understanding of construction sequencing and trade coordination
  • Proficiency with scheduling tools (Microsoft Project) and field technology platforms (PlanGrid or similar)
  • Ability to monitor budget drivers and solve problems
  • Confident communication style with subcontractors, project teams, and external stakeholders
  • Experience in education or K‑12 work highly preferred
  • A collaborative, team‑oriented approach with a commitment to continuous learning
